Fujifilm GF670 Folding Film Camera
While we are now in the age of digital cameras, film cameras are not just ready to roll over and die. In fact, Fujifilm has announced that a new medium format folding film camera has just made it to the UK, worth about 1,700 GBP or $2,500.
The Fujifilm GF670 is built in a die-cast aluminum body along with magnesium alloy components. However despite the said construction, the GF670 weighs only a surprising 1000g (without the battery). It can take sharp photos even at large sizes and perhaps this is attributed to the Gauss-type EBC Fujinon lens which employs six elements in four groups.
The camera also allows easy changing between 6x7cm and 6x6cm formats since a single switch changes both the bright line frame in the viewfinder and the film counter.
Focusing is also easier thanks to the bright and clear double-image rangefinder. The viewfinder is parallax-corrected, and the display automatically changes with the film format selected.
Not bad specifications for a film camera!
