Zune and Bing Together Give Microsoft Music Edge
Here’s an idea that was probably just waiting to happen–the folks out at Microsoft have taken their Bing search system and melded it with their Zune Marketplace system to give you a faster, easier way to search for music you can buy.
Apparently, Microsoft’s got it set up such that, when you search for music, lyrics, games, or movies, you’ll get access to a whole lot of sample content.
Word is you’ll get access to play a variety of casual games (some sources peg the number at 100 games), get to stream full versions of songs (just once, though–any return to that song gets you a thirty-second sample), more television-related content, and of course, easy access to purchase whatever it is you’re searching for from the massive Zune Marketplace.
With Google planning its own music store, and HP looking to join the race too, there will likely be more places than ever before to legally buy music online coming up directly.
