New Cable TV Wiring to Handle 400 Mbps

Multimedia Over Coax Alliance Standards Beef Up Content and Media Sharing

When it comes to media sharing, the type of content does have a bearing on how fast and clear they can be delivered. And apparently Multimedia Over Coax Alliance (MoCA) is set to change how homes make do with multi-DVRs serving various areas of a home, promising to jack up the transfer speeds to 400 Mbps with their new specifications.

Working with cable providers, MoCA is pushing for a new specification to improve the current transfer rates of rich content such as 3DTV media. Now we may not be seeing this new technology soon but the thought of improving the delivery of rich TV content for multi-viewing enjoyment will surely be welcome by anyone and anywhere.

Though it may take more time for this new cable specs to evolve, at least we know that there will be viewing improvements coming out soon. At least once that time comes, you will get your money’s worth, as home media networks continue to grow and rise in demand.
