Mitsubishi LaserVue Returns, HD Ready
Two years ago, Mitsubishi released a television that was almost criminally monstrous–the LaserVue was a huge, fat-backed system in a market almost completely occupied by flatscreens, and the change was not well-received. But now, the LaserVue is back, big, and ready to blow your mind.
It may be a huge television–with measurements like 41.7- x 66.4- x 15 inches it can’t be called anything but huge–but it’s absolutely spectacular even measuring just by the pictures coming out around it. It’s 3D ready besides, with a starter pack containing a 3D emitter, 3D adapter with remote, HDMI cable and a 3D Blu-ray to help you prove that it wasn’t at all a waste to pay five hundred bucks to make it 3D ready. The television itself, meanwhile, offers internet connectivity for easy access to the future of content provision, four HDMI inputs, and a wired IR output.
You’ll be able to get all this for $5,999, and like I said, tack on an extra $500 ( $399 3D Starter Pack plus the $99 3D Adapter) for 3D capability. You’ll want a friend or two, with a forklift, handy–this thing weighs 154 pounds. But still, if you’re willing to pay the cash and hoist the weight, you’ll be left with an unbelievable television.
