Verizon Motorola Droid 2 Spotted in the Wild, Pictures Available
In just five days Verizon is going to show us the next-generation of Droid and we’re probably have all the official specs and features for both the Motorola Droid X and the Motorola Droid 2 as well as very official images.

Motorola has already setup a teaser page for the Droid X and we have already shown it to you yesterday. But the Droid 2 didn’t get any official attention just yet and it’s all understandable. The Droid X is coming in July whereas the Droid 2 is only scheduled to hit stores at some point in August so a Droid 2 teaser page will probably set up only in a few weeks.
Nevertheless we have new leaked pictures of the Droid 2 in action. As you can clearly see, the device comes with a very generous touchscreen display and unlike its popular predecessor, it will have a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard.
The phone was actually spotted in the wild and we have more specs and features for you. The Dorid 2 will offer you a 1GHz processor, 8GB of internal storage, microSD support (this particular handset had an 8GB microSD card on), 5.0 megapixel camera, Android 2.1 with Ninjablur on top.
The phone wasn’t lost in a bar or anything like that. It was shown in a tech show at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory – NASA where all the big names had a booth of their own, Verizon included. The Droid 2 is reported to be very similar to the original Droid when it comes to overall design, but, of course, the Droid 2 has that extra full QWERTY keyboard.
Also an interesting piece of information coming straight from Big Red’s reps suggests that Verizon will launch the phone with Android 2.2 Froyo out of the box even if the device presented at the show was only running Android 2.1.
So what do you say guys? Are you going to get the Motorola Droid X or the Motorola Droid 2 this summer?
