Zelda: Ocarina Of Time Coming In 3D To 3DS?

Zelda: Ocarina Of Time 3D showed up on Nintendo’s website, sending the Nintendo faithful into a frenzy. Some suggested the game was just a tech demo to show off the Nintendo 3DS’ graphical capabilities – but now Joystiq is reporting that it’s in fact a game and it’s coming to the 3DS.

According to Joystiq’s Ludwig Kietzmann, Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma confirmed that OoT 3D is in fact, a real game. The game just appears to be a straightforward remake for the 3DS, although Aonuma-san did say that the menu system will be redone for the 3DS. Specifically he mentioned the need for the player to add and remove the Iron Boots quickly in the Water Temple section (Zelda fans will know what I’m talking about).

Arguably, Ocarina of Time (and Final Fantasy VII on the PlayStation) was one of the first great console RPG games, and it’s constantly rated highly in “Top 10″ video game lists by multiple outlets and on personal lists.

At E3, Nintendo also showed off Skyward Sword, another full console Zelda title for the Wii. But, it seems that with the popularity and acclaim for Ocarina of Time – this handheld remake could be more anticipated that the full console title.
