Walmart Lowers Xbox 360 Arcade Console Pricing Down To $149
The new Xbox 360 which is just that, the new Xbox 360 as opposed to the Xbox 360 Slim was recently unveiled at E3 and it seems that retailers have already begun lowering the price on the previous models.

The first, or at least the first to have been noticed comes from Walmart who have lowered the pricing from $199 down to $149. And all things considered, a $50 savings is not all that bad of a deal.
But coming like a bad late nigh infomercial — Wait, there is still more! In addition to the $50 price cut, Walmart is also tossing in a $50 Walmart.com eGift card which you can use to buy some more games and/or accessories for your new toy.
Plus, your new(ly) purchased old console will still included the two free games (Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts and Viva Pinata) as well as a wireless controller, 256MB of memory and composite A/V cable.
That said, two items that you may consider purchasing with that gift card is an HDMI cable or maybe a second controller, which are both notably left out of the box.
Of course, if you consider yourself more of a hardcore gamer then you would likely want to stick with the latest and greatest — in which case you can pre-order the new Xbox 360 console from Amazon.
In the end, with the $50 gift card, this is almost like getting a $200 console for $100. Still, I can already see the disappointment in the younger gamers (the ones that still rely on mom and dad to buy their console) when their parent or other loved ones surprise them with what they thought to be a great deal. And for that same younger generation who may be reading this, now may be a good time to let your parents know the difference between the new and old Xbox 360′s.
