Apple iPhone 4 Demand 10 Times Greater Than for iPhone 3GS
As many of you who have been trying to pre-order the latest iteration of Apple’s iPhone, namely the iPhone 4, will know, it seems that many networks (such as AT&T, for example) are having huge issues with trying to meet high demand for the new iPhone. And, as if we needed to underpin just how much in demand the iPhone 4 actually is (just in case bringing AT&T’s servers to their knees were not testament enough) German Telecom has gone on record to help us get things into stark perspective.

According the a German Telecom spokesperson they are seeing such high demand for the iPhone that they have said that pre-orders for the new iPhone are outnumbering the demand for the iPhone 3GS when initially available for pre-order by 10 times (yes, you read that right by 10 times).
Unsurprisingly the spokesperson has additionally confirmed that they don’t envisage being able to keep up with demand to the point where some who have pre-ordered the iPhone 4 via them will find their orders potentially going unfulfilled.
Let’s put that into even starker perspective four you. The iPhone 3GS cleared some 1 million units over its launch weekend so we’re talking alarmingly big numbers here – which could (and does) explain why AT&T and even Apple have been struggling to keep up with the numbers wishing to secure themselves an iPhone 4 in order to obtain one at the point of release or thereafter.
Apple may have its naysayers but, let’s be honest here, even those that will do their utmost not to be impressed by anything Apple related must surely succumb to doffing their cap in Apple’s direction in respect of such overwhelming (a particularly apt word under the circumstances) interest in their latest smartphone.
