New HTC Droid Incredible Shipments Coming Only on July 12

Even though Sprint has started selling the HTC EVO 4G and AT&T is getting ready for what looks to be yet another successful iPhone 4 launch, Verizon is still busy selling HTC Droid Incredible handsets to its faithful subscribers.

According to recent reports HTC has a very hard time making HTC Droid Incredible smartphones as fast as Verizon Wireless is selling them. But it looks like it’s neither Verizon nor HTC to blame for this annoying Incredible shortage as Samsung is having problems producing enough AMOLED displays to go around. It will certainly be interesting to see what will happen in the future as we expect more and more smartphones to offer an AMOLED display in the months to come.

In other words, no matter how hot the HTC Droid Incredible is, and similarly the HTC EVO 4G and Motorola Droid which are also facing stock shortages, lots of Android lovers are still unable to purchase their unit yet. That’s definitely not working in favor of Verizon, Sprint and HTC, and the more we wait for new HTC Droid Incredible (or EVO or Moto Droid) shipments, the closer we get to that June 24 date.

That’s the day when the new iPhone 4 starts selling and from what we’ve heard so far, Apple is really getting ready to sell as many as 3 million units per month. Moreover the phone is not going to use an AMOLED display made by Samsung and it might take a while until the initial iPhone 4 stock disappears from stores.

While true Android lovers are probably unlikely to ditch their Droid Incredible plans in favor of an iPhone 4 unit, some people that aren’t that faithful to any mobile platform might buy the iPhone 4 once Apple’s marketing machine start buzzing about the sales success of the next-gen gadget.
