Walmart To Offer iPhone 4 On June 24th Launch Day
We have already learned that the iPhone 4 will be available with a few retailers such as Radio Shack The Shack, Best Buy and AT&T. Of course, it should go without saying that the iPhone 4 will also be available in Apple retail stores. And to add one more to the growing list, we now have Walmart.

Yup, Walmart has just announced, and were also kind enough to tip me by email letting me know that “the new iPhone 4 is coming to 1500 Walmart locations on June 24.” And yes, just like that, the email was bolded which must mean its super important.
And as we already knew, the iPhone 4 is going to be available anywhere and everywhere beginning on June 24th. Interestingly enough, the information that I received did not offer anything specific in terms of launch day polices and/or procedures. But one thing is almost certain — if you are looking to pick up an iPhone 4 and not be the subject of an overabundance of attention and clapping and HUGE lines (sorry Apple retail) then Walmart is most likely a good option for you to consider.
Also unclear is to how much inventory of each model will be available at each location. As per the announcement email, it just mentions the 1500 stores.
In terms of pricing, nothing unique there and you can still expect to pay $199 for the 16GB model and $299 for the 32GB model. Of course, with those prices, those are assuming you are eligible for an upgrade and are also willing to sign up for another two years with AT&T.
And hey, if nothing else, now you can head on over to Walmart on June 24 and take care of your weekly shopping and get your early-adopter gadget fix at the same time. But don’t forget, if you are the pre-ordering type, that will need to be done direct with Apple.
