Samsung Reveals US Cellular Bound Acclaim Smartphone On Website
Look what we have here, its an image of the Samsung Acclaim smartphone. Which coincidentally is also believed to be the first image that has been spotted of this handset. So, that’s what they Acclaim looks like.

In short, we are still missing plenty of details however the image does confirm a few things. Most notably is the US Cellular branding, which coincides with earlier rumors about a July release. Otherwise, we can see that the Acclaim, which has the full model number of SCH-R880 has a portrait style slider and is going to be running Android. Again, those last two details go to confirm earlier rumors.
Judging from the image, this appears to be running a vanilla install of Android, though its only showing a few basic apps such as the phone, contacts, calendar, email, messaging and browser in the image. Read: nothing Google related.
The handset is shown off in a blue and black coloring and the keyboard hints at some gaming roots with the few keys colored in light blue as opposed to the black. Also worth pointing out is that the keyboard is 4 row with dedicated number keys. Though without getting hands on it will be hard to tell just how nice it will be, both in terms of key press and also space availability on that top row.
Otherwise the basics seem to be there such as the headphone jack on top and the touchscreen (previously rumored at 3.2 inches) display along with the Home, Menu, Back and Search soft keys on the bottom which are surrounding the optical trackpad.
Anyway, last we heard it was expected to arrive in July, so given that, it looks like an announcement should be coming sooner than later. After all, the cat handset is out of the bag at this point.
