Nokia N8 To Include Mobile Video Editing
A few of us at TFTS world headquarters are excited for the upcoming Nokia N8 smartphone. Yesterday, when during the iPhone 4, it was revealed that the Apple phone will include the ability for simple mobile video editing, directly from the phone. A neat feature for some light YouTube quality uploads but it’s not exclusive to the iPhone. A new video from the Nokia Conversations blog shows that the Nokia N8 will have a similar feature.

In the video (embedded below), Nokia’s product manager Chris Bennetts takes you through the N8′s simple photo and video editing software. It’s not exactly Final Cut Pro or Photoshop, but it does have some nice features.
The Nokia N8′s photo editing software will allow you to crop photos, add borders, add text and add icons. The video editing is similar – with frames and crops, but you can also trim the beginning and end of each video clip. Video transitions can be added in between of the video clips, as well. Nokia’s USB On-The-Go feature is also supported, which lets you pull media off of a thumb drive for quick editing on the go.
The Nokia N8 hardware looks great – but will the tech consumers take to the new Symbian (Symbian^3)? That seems to be the biggest hurdle that the Nokia N8 will face. Video embedded below:
