Looking For A HTC EVO 4G? Good Luck.

HTC EVO 4G Is Sold-Out Across The Country, More Stock Coming

A few days ago, we here reported the story that local Sprint stores were running low on EVO 4Gs, and were only saving them for new Sprint customers (as they make more money per new Sprint customer than selling a new phone to an existing customer). Turns out, Sprint is officially out of them everywhere.

Despite shortages of the EVOs being reported in Sprint retail locations across the country, Sprint’s website still seemed to have a healthy supply of them – as they still were seemingly allowing you to order them, but now, Sprint.com’s page has been changed to (as you can see above) “Sold out, Check back later – More are on their way.”

So, will this phone really turn things around? Sprint’s been struggling has of late, with reportedly bad customer service and a waning number of subscribers. The HTC EVO 4G caught headlines at the CTIA mobile phone trade show this year – the phone seems to be doing very well for Sprint.

It beat the Palm Pre out as Sprint’s quickest selling phone and the number of 200,000 units was being reported by some, although unconfirmed by Sprint. So does this phone turn around Sprint’s fortunes? It appears it might.

Now that HTC EVO users have had a few days to use their giant Android phones, what do you think about them?
