Vodafone Nokia N8 Listed as 'Coming Soon'

Speculation is mounting that Vodafone could be the first UK network to carry Nokia’s first Symbian^3 smartphone thanks to Vodafone having now listed the Nokia N8 as ‘coming soon’ – you can catch up with all our Nokia N8 coverage here, incidentally – though, as yet, there’s no official word concerning any specific dates of availability.

For those yet to become acquainted with the Nokia N8, the device, which sports a 360 x 640 resolution 3.5 inch AMOLED touchscreen display, 16GB of integrated memory, HSPA, Wi-Fi, A-GPS and a 12 megapixel camera with Xenon flash which boasts Carl Zeiss optics and 720p HD video recording functionality. Of course you can also factor in blisteringly fast performance – a factor that’s been underpinned by a new report that bills the N8 as offering a 180% performance hike in comparison to the N97.

As noted, Vodafone’s listing does not offer any dates of release of the N8 to their network, nor does it offer any indication as to the Vodafone N8’s pricing – though it’s expected that the N8 will be offered for ‘free’ on plans of £30+ per month.
