Samsung NB30 Netbook Refreshed & Rebranded As The NB30 Pro Specialized Netbook, Will Retail For $519
Samsung has recently announced an updated version of their NB30 netbook. The updated model is the Samsung NB30 Pro. Yes, Samsung has simply added the Pro at the end and similar to the name change, the update in specs is almost as minor.

Lets see, for the most part, the Samsung NB30 Pro will come touting the standard netbook specs. For example, it has a 10.1 inch display with a 1024 x 600 resolution, a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 processor, Intel GMA3150 graphics, 160GB hard drive and built in 0.3 megapixel webcam. Additionally, you will find a pair of 1.5 watt speakers, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Ethernet and three USB 2.0 ports.
As far as the differences, the NB30 Pro will come with Windows 7 Professional, which is certainly a step up from Windows 7 Starter as well as “up to” 2GB of RAM.
Finally, the last of the details include a weight of 2.73 pounds and a 6 cell battery that is said to have a run time of up to 6.5 hours. One other item worth mentioning is that the hard drive does come with the Free Fall Sensor, which should help prevent against any data failure in case of an accidental dropping. But then again, that Free Fall Sensor was also included in the original non-Pro version of the NB30.
In addition to the hard drive protection, the remaining exterior of the netbook is semi-rugged. And by that I am referring to the water resistant keyboard that can hold up to 50cc of liquid and a “specially-designed durable casing.”
In short, the NB30 Pro features Windows 7 Professional and the ability to add more RAM as items that are above and beyond that of the original NB30 netbook.
As for how much and when. The Samsung NB30 Pro is expected to come available in late May, at which time it will sell for $519.
