AT&T Telling Employees iPhone Coming In Early June [Next iPhone Is Coming In June, Says AT&T]
It’s not really a surprise, but AT&T employees are being total internally that the next iPhone is coming in June, reportedly “early” June. Since we knew that another iPhone was coming, this report is just a bit more believable than some random Verizon employee telling a customer that the CDMA iPhone is coming before Christmas.

We had previously heard that AT&T wasn’t granting employee vacations in June because of anticipated high demand for the next iPhone. The iPhone is AT&T’s most popular phone by far (or as AT&T’s CEO puts it, “an important part of our lineup”).
All previous iPhones have been launched in either June or July, and following the Gizmodo incident and the following photo leaks, the iPhone HD/iPhone 4G/iPhone 4 looked pretty damn close to being finished.
What features will the new iPhone have? Gizmodo’s iPhone showed a “higher resolution” screen, hopefully OLED. A front-facing camera and LED flash have all but been confirmed by code in the iPhone OS 4 SDK.
The Gizmodo iPhone had more square edges, a departure from the iPhone’s traditional look. It had originally been speculated that this was just a “carrying around” prototype for the baseband engineer who lost it, but following the other photos from Vietnam and the other places, this probably is the way the next iPhone will look.
Are you excited for the next iPhone? Will you get one on release day?
