HTC Droid Incredible Stock Missing in Action; Android Smartphone Removed from Verizon’s Website?

The HTC Droid Incredible is Verizon’s hottest handset right now and, until the EVO 4G makes its official appearance in Sprint stores, the Incredible is the flagship Android device out there. But unfortunately for the carrier, the phone is nowhere to be found.

The device has been selling very well from the beginning and we’ve told you more than once how Verizon wasn’t able to meet the demand for the handset. And now it looks like not only is Verizon out of HTC Droid Incredible units but the company has, for no apparent reason, removed the phone from its website. Is it all an innocent honest mistake or is there a reason behind this decision?

Just a few days ago we were showing you one of the latest Verizon TV ads in which the carrier was insisting on the camera performance of the device. So why would Verizon remove it from the site after investing so much in creating buzz and then proper advertisements for the device?

The HTC Droid Incredible is a great phone and it’s virtually flaw free. Sure we’ve seen a report last week saying that the handset, when placed on certain surfaces, becomes unresponsive to touch until you hold it in your hands. But as we’ve later seen, just a few Droid Incredible customers experienced the issue. It’s certainly no reason to recall the phone is it?

Of course we’re taking it just a little too far, and I am sure that everything will be fine once Verizon gets a hold of the error causing this glitch. The phone is apparently not to be available on the main page anymore although it can be found on the site when searching for it. But clicking on the buy button apparently triggers an error message: “the selection you made is unavailable at this time.”
