HTC Aria Android Smartphone Rumored For A June 7th Release With AT&T
The rumor train rarely stops churning, and the latest is calling for an HTC made Android smartphone to come available with AT&T. According to the details of the rumor, the handset is the HTC Aria.

So far that sounds good, however there are some issues. First and foremost the details and specs on the HTC Aria are pretty much unknown at this point. And in addition to that, I am not sure I would believe that AT&T would be foolish enough to go forward with the date that is currently rumored.
Lets start with the phone itself, as of now the HTC Aria is said to have Android 2.1 with the updated version of HTC’s Sense UI. Like I mentioned the details are light. But on the positive side, an Android based HTC phone with AT&T could be a nice addition to the lineup. Well, nice as long as AT&T does not do anything strange with it like they have done with their other Android offerings.
Who know, maybe the HTC Aria will be THE device for AT&T, you know, something to compete with the EVO 4G, Droid Incredible and the Nexus One.
Otherwise, lets move onto the supposed release date — that was noted as being June 7th. Sure for many that will be just another day in June, but for a large group that is expected to be iPhone 4G/HD day. Yup, June 7th is the kickoff of WWDC 2010 and Steve Jobs will be taking the stage at 10AM PST. Certainly AT&T would not try and launch an Android phone on the day the already over-hyped next-generation iPhone is going to suck up all the attention.
Finally, as pointed out over on Phandroid, this HTC Aria may be a model that was mentioned a few weeks back which is supposedly sporting a hardware QWERTY keyboard and looks like an HTC Tilt.
With that, it looks like we are waiting to June 7th and in the meantime trying and hoping to find some more details on the mysterious HTC Aria.
