Apple Confirms International Retail Stores Will Open Early For iPad Launch [International Apple Stores Will Be Opening At 8AM On May 28th For iPad Launch]

The international iPad sales will go live this Friday May 28th, and it looks like the Apple retail locations will be opening up early to celebrate. A quick check on the Apple website is showing that the stores will be opening up at 8AM, which is an hour earlier than the usual 9AM opening.

“Buy iPad at your favourite Apple Retail Store starting at 8:00 am on May 28th.”

That said, if you have not pre-ordered an iPad you may want to consider arriving early. Still, even arriving early I would expect to wait in line. Especially considering the brief announcement on the Apple website has a nice little “*” at the end, which is letting everyone know that its strictly a “while supplies last” type of situation.

In short, arrive early or better yet, arrive late in the evening on the night before.

And just to recap, the countries that will be seeing the launch as of this Friday include Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the UK.

Otherwise, we have already seen the App Store open internationally, which should mean your apps will be downloaded and ready when you get an iPad in your hands and a quick sync will have you up and running. Additionally, the iBooks app is now available for download.

Finally, at this point those planning to get an iPad should prepare with some app downloads and begin making plans to get to a store. Or for those that pre-ordered, sit back and wait for the delivery driver to arrive because Friday will be here soon enough.

One other little tidbit, there are also some reports that “Apple Premium Resellers” will have iPads in stock, at least in the UK. But at this point, your best bet is just to plan on arriving an an Apple Store as early as possible on Friday.
