As we have already mentioned, the myTouch 3G Slide is going to come available with T-Mobile as of June 2nd, which at this point is just a little over a week from today. We have also learned that the handset is going to be selling for an on contract price of $179.99. Now, for some that may be more than they can or are willing to spend. In that case, you may want to consider the currently available myTouch 3G, the non-Slide version which has just been lowered slashed in price and is now free on contract.

Yup, those who wish to pick up the myTouch 3G can do so as of today and spend nothing up front. The price is free with an Even More Plus plan on a two year agreement. Sure, the myTouch 3G may not have the hardware slide out QWERTY keyboard, but still, its hard to argue with free.

In terms of features, the T-Mobile myTouch 3G will come sporting a 3.2 inch capacitive touchscreen display with a 320 x 480 pixel resolution, 1340 mAh battery, 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus, 288MB RAM, 512MB ROM, microSD card slot, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, GPS, Bluetooth 2.0, 3.5mm headphone jack, miniUSB and a 528MHz Qualcomm MSM7201A processor.

Additionally, the myTouch 3G is running Android and comes with an 8GB microSD card for your media storage needs. In terms of size and weight, the myTouch 3G comes in at 2.2 x 4.6 x 0.6 inches and 4.1 ounces.

Otherwise, the phone can also be purchased off contract, though that price has remained the same at $399.99. Its also worth mentioning that this price cut is only on the myTouch 3G and not the Fender Limited Edition model

Bottom line, get a myTouch 3G for free, or wait until June 2nd and get a similar phone with a hardware keyboard for $179.99. I like the idea of the hardware keyboard, but think I would opt for the free phone myself. Finally, the myTouch 3G is available in black or white and the myTouch 3G Slide will be available in black, white or red.
