International iPad Store & iBookstore Now Open for Business [Apple Gets Ready to Grab International iPad Customers’ Money for Content As it Makes iPad Store and iBookstore Available Overseas]
International iPad customers have been pre-ordering the device for more than a week now and the device is already getting ready to be shipped in various countries. Apple is also getting ready for more international iPad customers and the company has just open the doors to its iPad Store and the iBookstore to these new markets.

As you may already know the App Store content can vary from country to country but when it comes to the iPad, a very new device but also a device that sells very well, Apple and developers should probably make available the same apps to every iPad customer no matter what country he or she lives in. Because without extra content, the iPad is pretty much a useless device especially when there’s no Internet coverage available.
According to recent news, some of the pre-ordered international iPad orders are already shipping although there’s no official ship date for any of them. The iPad will be available in stores starting with May 28 which probably means that international iPads can’t arrive earlier than that.

It also means that Apple has one more week before the first international iPad customers receive the tablet in order to make all those iPad apps and iBookstore titles available to them.
In case you’re travelling from the USA to Europe, or any other region of the world getting the iPad Wi-Fi and iPad Wi-Fi + 3G next week, then you should get all the apps and eBooks you want before leaving the States. Right now there are not that many titles available in the international iBookstore and you might not find your favorite titles in there yet. And in case you do find your favorite eBook now, it might be available in a different language so it would be pretty useless unless you speak that foreign language too.
Luckily, travelling to other countries doesn’t mean you’ll have access to only the iPhone OS content available for that region. All you have to do to keep getting the same content for the iPad you download in the USA, no matter where you are in the world, is to make sure that your iTunes account has the country set to U.S. and you’ll be good to go.
So let’s hear it from international iPad owners. What iPad version did you buy? Is it already shipping to it?
