LG Windows Phone 7 Joins HTC Mondrian in Leak
The HTC Mondrian is probably the first HTC Windows Phone 7 to start selling later this fall but it’s not the only device that will run Microsoft’s latest mobile platform and give the new iPhone a run for its money. We now have one more important WP7 handset that got leaked and this time around it’s an unnamed device coming from LG.

The smartphone in question is an LG slider which could be the phone we’ve seen in the past. In case you don’t remember, LG was one among of the first rumored manufacturers of Windows Phone 7 devices so we’re really anxious to see what the company has produced.
As you can see in the picture here the phone appears to be fully functional and of course, it’s running Windows Phone 7. Unlike the HTC Mondrian, which is a Chassis 1 WP7 smartphone, the LG handset is going to be Chassis 2 device since it’s going to offer an extra, but very useful, full QWERTY keyboard.
The image above comes apparently from the Flickr account of a French Microsoft employee, or from a bar in California, not that it matters that much who let it out in the open. It could be a fake since we’ve seen various other leaked Windows Phone 7-running handsets before.
Nevertheless, LG is definitely making a WP7 handset which will be available later this year and here’s what the phone could offer you later down the road:
- 1Ghz Snapdragon processor if not better
- Capacitive touchscreen
- 8GB Memory – probably on board
- GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth
- Accelerometer
- Digital compass
- light and proximity sensors
- 5MP Camera with flash and video recording
- Required buttons: back, Windows, search
- Windows Phone 7
What would you choose between the HTC Mondrian and this unnamed LG slider? Do you like more Chassis 1 or Chassis 2?
