New iPhone 4 / 4G / HD Leak Says Next-gen iPhone Gets Better Display, ARM A8 CPU & 512MB Memory [New iPhone Features Revealed as Foxconn Is Rumored to Make 24 Million New iPhones in 2010]
With the iPhone 4 / 4G / HD coming in about three weeks or so, we’re not really surprised to see more new iPhone rumors appear. We already have plenty of details of the device itself as not one, but at least two handsets have been actually lost or stolen recently, although that doesn’t mean we know all there is to know about the phone.

Today we’re talking about the touchscreen display of the phone, which is said (again) that it will offer a 960 x 640 high screen resolution. The display will be an IPS (in-plane switching) panel with FFS (fringe-field switching) with LG Display and Prime View International being the companies making the display.
The new display will come with wider viewing angles and it will be a lot more sunlight-friendly which means we’ll have less trouble using it outside under direct sunlight. Besides offering better quality images, the display is also going to be 33% thinner thus freeing even more room for the new battery which is also expected to be bigger than current iPhone batteries and thus capable of offering a much longer life.
The iPhone is also said to come with an Arm Cortex A8 processor and with a 512MB memory module made by Samsung Electronics which should definitely help improve the overall iPhone experience especially with multitasking coming with iPhone OS 4.0 this June.
Foxconn is the company making the phone and sources say that no less than 24 million new iPhones are going to be made this year, with shipping starting in June. The company will ship no less than 4.5 million units in June alone with the remaining 19.5 million to be shipped in the second half of the year.
The more we approach the iPhone 4G launch the more interesting the handset looks like although we can’t verify any of the information above until June 7 when Steve Jobs will unveil the phone at WWDC 2010.
