Fujitsu LifeBook T730 Tablet PC Announced
The latest convertible style PC from Fujitsu has been quietly revealed. The model is the Fujitsu LifeBook T730 and its available as of today with a starting price tag of $1,869. Though for a limited time, that price tag includes a free 250GB hard drive upgrade and a free Lexmark X2670 all-in-one printer.

So just what can we expect to see in the LifeBook T730, well, that is aside from a price tag that is going to rule out the casual purchase. Of course, that is not to say that LifeBook T730 is not worthy of the asking price, its just more than we have been used to seeing in notebooks lately.
Anyway, my sticker shock aside, in terms of features expect to find a 12.1 inch LED backlit convertible display, Active digitizer (pen input), a 2.4GHz Intel Core i5-520M vPro processor, 2GB of RAM and a 160GB 5400RPM hard drive. Other features include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Ethernet, Bluetooth, three USB 2.0, HDMI out, ExpressCard 54, memory card reader, ambient light sensor, fingerprint sensor, Super-Multi DVD writer, 6 cell battery, full-sized spill resistant keyboard with touchpad and Fujitsu modular bay that will allow you to add in either a second battery or optical drive.
Additionally, the LifeBook T730 will also have a user serviceable dust filter. All said and done, the LifeBook T730 will come in at a not-as-light-as-you-would-hope 3.9 pounds, and that is a 3.9 pounds with the modular bay empty. In other words, if you toss in that extra battery or optical drive and you will be carrying around a 4 plus pound tablet. In terms of the operating system, expect to find the 32 bit edition of Windows 7 Professional.
And just like most other tablet PC’s and notebooks — there are always the upgrades that are available. In the case of the T730 you can add in, or upgrade to goodies including a 2.66GHz Intel Core i7 processor for an extra $150, as well as a 128GB SSD or 500GB hard drive and up to 8GB of RAM.
