Verizon iPhone? I’ll Have 10 Million New CDMA iPhones

New Rumor Says Apple Is Already Producing 10 Million CDMA New iPhones]

Whether Apple is going to announce an iPhone 4 / 4G / HD made entirely for Verizon or not, one thing is certain, the web is buzzing with details about the CDMA iPhone, so at least some of it has to be true. The question is, when will Verizon launch the device? In June, September or early 2011?

According to a report that comes all the way from Taiwan, Apple already has a company building the CDMA iPhone for them. And it looks like the company in question is Pegatron Technology and Apple has ordered no less than 10 million units already. Sources that won’t reveal themselves say that these orders should bring lots of cash to the manufacturer in August or September. Does this mean that Verizon will launch the iPhone late summer / early fall?

Pegatron is a spin-off of Asustek and the two companies will be listed separately on the Taiwan Stock Exchange on June 24. Why is that important? Well the same report that talks about a potential CDMA iPhone says that Pegatron hasn’t been doing so good lately and a 10 million CDMA iPhone order per year from Apple will surely help the company come out of a rough spot.

Don’t expect Apple, or Verizon for that matter, to confirm any of this, but, like I said before, a CDMA iPhone will happen sooner or later and there’s nothing AT&T, or anyone else, can do to stop it.

AT&T will surely start selling the next-gen iPhone this June while Verizon will have to wait a couple of extra months to get it. But what’s a couple of months on top of the three years Verizon has been impatiently waiting for the device?

Indirectly this is bad news for Sprint and T-Mobile too. Unlike T-Mobile, which doesn’t have a strong iPhone competitor yet (the HTC HD2 doesn’t really count and neither does the Google Nexus One), Sprint will start selling the HTC EVO 4G on June 4. But will the carrier be able to fight both a GSM iPhone 4G and CDMA iPhone 4G later this year?

I need to be perfectly clear on this when I say that no way shape or form will there be a verizon iPhone for two simple reasons for starters apples exclusivity is carried over to (confirmed) 2012 that means that anything with the name iPhone (iPhone HD/4/3G(s) in fact any thing with the name iphone from now till 2012) apple & AT&T are the only ones who have the right to distribute it and provide network service.

Second of all Verizon has invested millions of dollars in advertisement in an attempt to pass the droid off as the iPhone killer that includes the Verizon’s version of the app store in which they receive (just like apple) a portion of the profits for each app sold. Neither apple nor Verizon would be willing to give up there bottom line considering that iTunes sales make up over 40% of apple’s annual profits.so just to summarize droid is the Verizon iPhone equivalent. It’s a decent phone and what you all need to do is just demand more from droid and soon they will begin building better models like all iPhone customers have done since the iphone was first released in 2007.

Selling a verizon iPhone would be great but apple has positioning itself to take a huge chunk out of the market for a while this I most evident with the implementation of micro sim to keep jailbrakers from bringing the iPhone to other networks , iBook to break into the mobile reader market and for those who haven’t watched the keynote for the iPhone 4 firmware update iAds is going place apple in a position to take a huge bite of the advertising market. Does anyone think that verizon won’t want a piece of that. Believe it or not verizon has similar plans for the droid. I’m not saying that it’s impossible (ok maybe I am) but given verizons investment into the droid it’s unlikely. Now I know what everyone is going to say “that’s stupid apple could make so much money by opening up that contract and that is true at the beginning that would make a lot of money but then the magic would be gone. Another reason would be the amount of money that apple would have to pay out to AT&T for contract breach and the scenario become more & more impractical. Well that’s my two cents have a good one.
