Following the launch of Microsoft Office 2010 Business edition, the company has also announced a free Office Mobile 2010 upgrade for all phones running on Windows Mobile 6.5. Simply download it from the Marketplace.

Microsoft Office Mobile 2010 isn’t just a mini app full of ads to promote the release of Office 2010. It’s in fact full of new features that you would find easy-to-use and useful too.

Office Mobile 2010 includes a vamped up interface and is more touch-screen-friendly. The interface follows the new design of Office 2010 in terms of colour scheme, font and layout. It definitely looks a lot more crisp and clean.

Office Mobile 2010 includes new version of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and SharePoint Workspace. It utilizes cloud computing, a dominant feature in Office 2010 that allows user to share, edit and collaborate on documents on the web. Also a notable feature adapted from Office 2010 is the Outlook 2010 e-mail conversation view.

PowerPoint 2010 on Office Mobile is pretty neat as well. You can read the slides on your phone while have it simultaneously play on a computer or laptop. You can also navigate the slides within the app and also edit slides if you wish.

If your phone has Windows Mobile 6.5, head to Marketplace to download Office Mobile 2010 for free. Running it already? Let us know how it is and if you find it useful.
