Project Natal Release Date Revealed for October 2010

Microsoft to Launch Xbox 360 Project Natal Motion Control Gaming Peripheral in October

Project Natal is one of the hottest gadgets set to arrive this year. The motion control gaming peripheral especially created by Microsoft for its Xbox 360 is going to be officially unveiled at E3 in June but we already knew that. What we didn’t know is the actual release date for Project Natal.

And now it looks like we have these details for you too. Project Natal was always said to arrive before the holidays this year and we all imagined Steve Ballmer and Co. will make it official at some point in late November or very early December. Well it looks like Microsoft is as anxious to sell the device as its faithful customers are to buy it. The peripheral is coming in October which is very good news. We don’t have the exact dates for you but considering how long we’ve all waited for Project Natal to arrive, what’s a few extra months?

The confirmation comes all the way from Microsoft’s Saudi Marketing Manager Syed Bilal Tariq and Project Natal will get a worldwide launch in October, which means that Redmond plans to cash in on this thing by Christmas 2010. Here’s what Tariq said about Project Natal:

We will be in a position to confirm the date at E3, which is in June, but definitely it is going to be October 2010.

Last time we heard, Project Natal was going to sell for around $100, which is quite an affordable price. The condition, of course, is that you already own your Xbox 360 console. Otherwise you’ll have to buy both the console and Project Natal in order to enjoy motion controlled gaming.

What we still don’t know yet is whether Microsoft is going to introduce any new Xbox 360 versions at E3 in June but we’d definitely be interested in seeing a PS3 Slim-like redesign of this popular gaming console. Are you going to purchase Project Natal first chance you get or are you more interested in the PlayStation Move?
