International iPad Wi-Fi & iPad Wi-Fi + 3G Prices Also Available?

International Prices for Both iPad Models Are Apparently Available Today

Just a little earlier today we’ve all seen the official press release from Apple announcing the arrival dates for the iPad in various European and other international markets. As you now know, the iPad Wi-Fi and the iPad Wi-Fi + 3G will be both available for pre-order on May 10 and they will be shipping on May 28 in some countries while others will only get to buy the device in July.

What we still need is pricing details and it looks like we already have an idea of what Apple is going to charge for its best selling tablet. But let’s look at the U.S. prices once again to be able to make some sort of comparison between various prices in different markets:

  • iPad Wi-Fi 16GB: $499
  • iPad Wi-Fi 32GB: $599
  • iPad Wi-Fi 64GB: $699
  • iPad Wi-Fi + 3G 16GB: $629
  • iPad Wi-Fi + 3G 32GB: $729
  • iPad Wi-Fi + 3G 64GB: $829

And now let’s look at the UK and European prices, which apparently are already available even though they haven’t been mentioned in the U.S. press release and aren’t displayed on Apple’s website for those particular regions. But the UK prices have appeared on Apple’s UK website while their European counterparts have been spotted in Spain:

UK iPad prices:

  • iPad Wi-Fi 16GB: £429 = $630
  • iPad Wi-Fi 32GB: £499 = $733
  • iPad Wi-Fi 64GB: £599 = $880
  • iPad Wi-Fi + 3G 16GB: £529 = $779
  • iPad Wi-Fi + 3G 32GB: £599 = $880
  • iPad Wi-Fi + 3G 64GB: £699 = $1,026

European iPad prices:

  • iPad Wi-Fi 16GB: €479 = $610
  • iPad Wi-Fi 32GB: €579 = $738
  • iPad Wi-Fi 64GB: €679 = $865
  • iPad Wi-Fi + 3G 16GB: €579 = $738
  • iPad Wi-Fi + 3G 32GB: €679 = $865
  • iPad Wi-Fi + 3G 64GB: €779 = $993

As you can see we have also translated the prices for you in U.S. dollars and while the actual conversion rate might fluctuate from day to day, you can clearly see that UK and European customers are going to pay a lot more for their iPad versions. With one odd exception it looks like European prices are just a little under their UK correspondents but the numbers seem to be right.

Of course, if you can have your iPad model brought over from the USA that’s even better, but not everyone will want to do that or even care about the extra savings once the iPad hits stores.

So what say you, international readers, what iPad version are you going to buy?
