HP Pavilion dm4 Notebook Unveiled While The dv5, dv6 & dv7 Notebooks Get A Refresh
Continuing on with the HP announcements, we now have the Pavilion notebook lineup, which for the purpose of this post contains the newly announced dm4 as well as the updated dv5, dv6 and dv7. First things first here, all of these models will be available as of May 19th and in the US market. In terms of pricing, you can expect to pay (starting prices of) $729.99 for the dm4 and $649.99, $699.99 and $849.99 for the dv5, dv6 and dv7 respectively.

With that out of the way, lets get into the specs and what we can expect to see for our hard earned cash. To begin with, lets go with the new addition — the dm4. This model will be joining the 13.3 inch dm3, and as you have most likely guessed by the 4 in the model number, it comes with a 14 inch display. But more specifically, that display will be a 14 inch BrightView HD LED display. Other features of the Pavilion dm4 include a full metal chassis with a brushed aluminum lid with an “elegant etched pattern.” Moving on you can also expect to find other goodies such as Intel Core processors, a fingerprint reader, optical drive and a battery life of up to 6.5 hours.
Next up we have the dv5, dv6, and dv7 refreshes which include new colors and lids just to name a few. First up here is the dv5 and dv6 which have been given what is described as “exterior bold finishes and touchable textures.” The dv5 will be available in colors such as black cherry, champagne and Sonoma red. Another addition to the dv6 includes an optional touchscreen display.

Moving on to the dv7 and that comes touting an HD display, HP Triple Bass Subwoofer as well as the option to add Beats Audio. Other goodies on the dv7 include the notebook shipping with Corel PaintShop Photo Pro X3 and Corel VideoStudio Pro X3.
Finally, other optional accessories on the dv5, dv6 and dv7 include Dolby Advanced Audio and Altec Lansing speakers as well as HP SimplePass for added security.
Again, these models will come available as of May 19th.
