HP Mini 210 & Mini 110 Netbook Lineups Updated [HP Mini 210 Netbook Gets Two New Colors & The Mini 110 Netbook Gets A 6-Cell Battery]
HP has been busy lately, and I am not referring to the recent purchase of Palm, but instead the slew of notebook and netbooks that have been updated and announced as of today. Chris already mentioned the Envy 14 and Envy 17 earlier this morning, so lets dive in with my notebook size of choice — the netbooks. As of this morning, HP has announced an update to the HP Mini 210 and Mini 110 lineups with a few interesting additions.

Lets begin with the Mini 110 netbook, as this one is a fairly simple update. In short, the Mini 110 netbook will soon be available with an optional 6 cell battery. And by soon I mean as of June 15th. The intriguing part here is that the battery is described as being “integrated.” That aside though, the battery is said to be able to offer up to eight hours of run time. Of course real world use with Wi-Fi and some screen brightness will likely be less than the proposed eight hours, but a 6 cell battery is still a nice addition.

Moving on we have the Mini 210 netbooks, which have been given a few new colors. The new colors are going to be Preppy Pink and White Crystal, both of which will be available as of June 15th. Nothing really over the top here, but if you were hoping to grab a pink or white Mini 210 netbook then now is the time to start saving some cash. Otherwise, the colors have come with fancy descriptions such as the;
“plaid-like design on the preppy pink HP Mini 210 features HP Imprint 3-D, the industry’s first 3-D PC surface technology, which debuted on the HP Mini 110 by Studio Tord Boontje. Multiple layers on the top and bottom covers make the design appear to float on the surface while casting shadows onto lower layers. The HP ClickPad also features the preppy pink finish and tiny cupcake Imprint at the bottom of the unit.”
Finally, the Mini 210 will retail with a starting price of $354.99 with the Mini 110 coming in a bit less expensive at $279.99 and both are heading to the US market.
