LG Ally Smartphone Specs Revealed With Iron Man 2 Mini-Site Launch
Yesterday we saw the mini promo site for Iron Man 2 launch and mixed in with the press release announcement for that was a slight mention of the upcoming Android smartphone from LG, the Ally. Unfortunately there was little mentioned in terms of details and we basically only learned that the phone existed and that it was coming available on May 20th.

Now don’t get me wrong, that alone was a nice bit and if nothing else it did serve to end some of the rumors. But that said, we were left wanting more details and thankfully they have come. It looks like we now have some specs along with several images.
In terms of the specs, lets start with what you can see from the included pics — the LG Ally has a full slide out QWERTY keyboard. And while its hard to really comment on how nice a keyboard is without actually touching it, the keys do appear to be nicely spaced, which should help typing a little. Otherwise, it looks like your somewhat standard four row QWERTY. A plus here is that is has a full numeric row up top, but the downside to that is the space bar gets crammed into the bottom row of letters. Additionally, there is also the four way trackpad with “OK” button off to the left hand side.

Other specs of the LG Ally include a 3.2 inch touchscreen display, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, microSD card slot, 3.2 megapixel camera with flash and perhaps most exciting is Android 2.1. Its also worth mentioning that this appears to be a standard vanilla Android installation, in other words, no fancy user interface such as Sense or Touchwiz.
A few other perks include what appears to be a dedicated camera button and a few apps that are installed by default such as Life 360, Wikitude, Foursquare, Yelp, ShopSavvy, Wertago, Shazam, Speed View, and Hoccer.
And with that, it looks like we are still waiting for more information, still unknown is the pricing and carrier.
