HTC Legend With AT&T & Rogers 3G Support Revealed By FCC Listing

FCC Label Shows HTC Legend With 850/1900 MHz WCDMA Band Support

FCC listings come in a wide variety of formats. For example some reveal products early and some simply tease at specs. And in this latest instance we have what appears to be a label for an HTC Legend — except the label does not directly say it is for the Legend. Instead it is referring to the model ID of PB76110.

And while that may seem like just a random string of numbers and letters it does bear striking resemblance to the original HTC Legend which is going by the model ID of PB76100. As for what that means, well, alot and at the same time, maybe nothing.

Let me explain, the listing shows the label with the model ID of PB76110 and furthermore the listing confirms that this device has support for the 850 and 1900MHz WCDMA bands. That means it will offer 3G support on the AT&T network here in the US as well as Rogers, Bell and Telus in Canada.

So far, that is the good sounding part. After all, how many Android users on those networks would not want to see the HTC Legend come available. It is a pretty nice phone. But that is where the maybe nothing part comes into play. This listing does not really confirm anything and in the end we still have nothing official from the carriers which means no release date, no pricing, no nothing — just an FCC label. That said, this does give us something to keep an eye out for. Hopefully something a little more official will come sooner than later, but in the meantime we can go back to speculating.

Lastly, just in case anyone was not as familiar with the HTC Legend, the specs on that handset include Android 2.1 with Sense UI, a 3.2 inch (320 x 480) AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display, 512MB ROM, 384MB RAM, microSD card slot, 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and flash, 3.5mm headphone jack, microUSB, digital compass, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor and a 1300 mAh battery.
