Fushion Garage Promises 3G JooJoo Within Three Months

A Less Expensive & 3G Capable JooJoo Tablet Is Expected To Arrive Before July

Despite what can only be described as poor sales here in the US, Fushion Garage is continuing on with further roll-outs and developments with their JooJoo tablet. The latest news is coming courtesy of Chandra Rathakrishanan who is the company CEO, and calls for a new JooJoo to be available within three months time. The new tablet will come sporting one additional feature — built in 3G support.

But that is where sales may get a little tricky, and instead of being able to purchase a JooJoo 3G or 3G JooJoo or what ever it will be called directly from Fushion Garage, you will instead make the purchase by way of a mobile carrier. And as you may have guessed the 3G JooJoo will be tied to a mobile carrier, or more specifically one of their 3G data plans. That may be a bummer for some, but on the positive side, that could also mean the 3G JooJoo will be priced cheaper than the current Wi-Fi model. Of course, nothing has been confirmed as far as pricing just yet.

Moving on, there was also some talk of the current Wi-Fi only JooJoo and a little added support coming in the way of the already included USB port. According to Rathakrishanan, Fushion Garage is planning to offer a software update that will remove the current limitations that are placed on the USB port. In other words, they are going to offer an update that will allow the device to recognize USB storage devices.

And that brought up the issue of users modifying the JooJoo software on their own. Based on statements from the company CEO, they are apparently open to see what users can do. But were also quick to point out that any software changes could void the one year warranty that comes with the device.

And with that, it looks like we have another JooJoo to look forward to seeing. If nothing else it should be interesting to see if they are going to be able to sell more 3G equipped models than they did with the Wi-Fi only model.
