DigiZoid Zo Personal Subwoofer Cranks Up The Bass For Any Media Player [Zo Uses DigiZoid SmartVector For Better Audio Quality]

DigiZoid’s zo is what you might be after if you’re expensive headphones aren’t cutting it. The device is a small, portable subwoofer system that connects between your media player and headphones or speakers. According to digiZoid, zo can enhance your bass experience and overall sound quality.

DigiZoid’s zo uses SmartVector to contour sounds and dynamically adjusts audio equalization, providing richer bass sounds that you couldn’t have heard through your headphones.

SmartVector sound contouring works to counterbalance the loss in sound pressure level due to the speaker’s and the ear’s inefficiencies. This is achieved by performing dynamic signal gain adjustment in relation to frequency (or what we call dynamic contouring). In other words, the amount of signal boost from the zo to your headphones depends on the frequency coming from your player. SmartVector increases the amount of signal gain in the range of bass frequencies, as well as in the higher frequency range (but just to a lesser extent). As a result, you get big subwoofer sound from any speaker type, without having to increase your player’s volume to do so.

Although the zo is lightweight and is no larger than the size of an iPod nano, it’s still another dongle you’d have to carry around. This might not be appealing if you’re working out or have very limited space in your pocket or bag.

Other features of zo include:

  • A multi-function switch enabling single-point control of all device functions
  • 32 selectable subwoofer intensity and frequency response contouring profiles
  • LightScale color indicator of selected contour profile
  • Simple plug-n-play setup
  • Compact and portable size – weighs less than an ounce
  • Designed and manufactured in the United States

DigiZoid zo is now available online and can be purchased for $99.
