Microsoft Zune HD Users Given Three New Apps [Microsoft Adds Stopwatch, Labyrinth & Solitaire Apps For Zune HD Users, All Available In The Zune Marketplace]
Zune HD users want apps, and it seems they are being given just that. Granted its been a pretty slow roll out so far but given that there were just recently three new apps added we can let that slide a little. The new apps include the classic card game Solitaire as well as Labyrinth and a Stopwatch app. Of the three, the most interesting is Labyrinth, if for no other reason than it takes advantage of the built in accelerometer that is found on the Zune HD.

And what comes as a slight bonus, the apps are all available for free. Granted, these are not the most exciting apps, and although I rarely play games myself I would like to see more 3D related games come available, mainly because it would be nice to see just what the full capabilities of the Zune HD really are.

The three game screenshots come courtesy of Zune Thoughts.
Getting back to these latest three though, first up is a game called Labyrinth and as I mentioned it takes advantage of the built-in accelerometer. As for what Labyrinth is, it is described as;
“Lead your marble through a world filled with a variety of challenges. Using tilt controls, navigate though unique and colorful landscapes filled with collectables, obstacles, opponents and hidden paths.”
And just in case you were wondering, Labyrinth has over 110 levels.

Next up is the classic card game that is Solitaire. Really, what can be said here other than this is a sure way to kill some time. Should be nice to have on the device if for nothing else than when you may be sitting and waiting for an appointment.

Finally, we have the Stopwatch. And this is just that, a stopwatch that you can use to keep track of how long you have been doing something.
