Sprint Google Nexus One Still Happening According to Customer Support [Sprint Google Nexus One to Arrive in May Around Google I/O; HTC EVO Coming in June According to Sprint Customer Care Rep]
Google together with Verizon have probably decided to cancel Verizon Google Nexus One plans since the HTC Droid Incredible will surely be selling like hot cakes soon. But Sprint, the other important CDMA carrier in the USA, is not going to ditch its Google Nexus One plans in favor of the even hotter HTC EVO 4G Android smartphone.

We’ve already seen Sprint’s press release which was advertising the Google Nexus One a while back ago. But since then we haven’t gotten any word of actual launch dates for the smartphone. Luckily for Sprint fans it looks like the Google Nexus One is indeed coming to Sprint stores even if a lot later than initially anticipated.
According to Sprint’s Customer Service, the Google Nexus One is still on track even if Verizon has scrapped plans for its CDMA Nexus One. Sprint will apparently launch the device at some point in May, possibly around Google’s I/O event. As for prices we can only assume the Sprint Nexus One will cost exactly the same its AT&T and T-Mobile counterparts do if not even cheaper considering that the EVO 4G and Droid Incredible are also in the picture now.
Of course, customer care representatives could be wrong, so until we have it printed on some sort of official Sprint press release, we won’t be able to let you celebrate the arrival of the CDMA Google Nexus One to your favorite carrier.
On a different note, the same customer care rep confirmed that the HTC EVO 4G is coming out in June, as rumored so far, which means that Sprint’s going to have quite a few hot Android smartphones for you this summer.
So there you have it, Android lovers, now you know almost everything there is to know about the upcoming Android smartphones in your area. So what will it be? HTC Droid Incredible, CDMA/GSM Google Nexus One, HTC EVO 4G or any other device?
