LG SU2300 & SU950/KU9500 Android Smartphones Announced For South Korea
LG has recently announced release details for two new Android smartphones. Judging from the description, both look to be pretty nice however this comes with a bit of sadness — they will only be available in South Korea. With that out of the way, the new phones are the LG SU2300 and the LG SU950/KU9500.

In terms of what we will see with each, as of now it looks like the SU2300 is going to launch with Android OS 1.6 and the SU950/KU9500 with Android 2.1 out of the box. Thankfully though, the SU2300 is expected to get an update sometime around July or August.
Otherwise alot of the specs are similar across both models. The feature list includes a 3.5 inch WVGA AMOLED (800 x 480) touchscreen display, 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 5 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi and GPS. Other features include Dolby mobile surround sound, T-DMB mobile TV and an LG exclusive feature called LG Air Sync that is said to give users the ability to backup and share their data. Both handsets will also come with Scan Search pre-installed, which is an augmented reality application.

In terms of differences, like I mentioned most of the specs are the same across the board, however the SU950/KU9500 will come with a full four row hardware keyboard with trackpad.
As for the when and where, like I already mentioned South Korea only. Otherwise, the SU2300 will be available in May with the SU950/KU9500 coming just a bit later in June. Both models will be able to be found with KT as well as SK Telecom. With that, we are still missing one important detail, the pricing, which has not been announced. And similar to the pricing, LG has not made any mention as to when or if either of these handsets will come available outside of the Korean market.
