BlackBerry Pearl 3G 9100 Pricing & Release Revealed For Bell

Rumors Suggest That Bell Will Launch The Pearl 3G 9100 On May 13th For $129.95 On Contract

Another day, and we have what appears to be a day that is BlackBerry in mind. Of course, that should not come as much of a surprise given that WES 2010 is currently under way. Unfortunately, this latest bit is still in the rumor category, and a rumor that we hope to see change a little before it becomes official.

Anyway, yesterday we saw the official unveiling of the BlackBerry Pearl 3G 9100 and then later learned it was heading into Canada by way of Rogers and Telus. Well, this latest bit is calling for a release with Bell.

Like I mentioned, still in the rumor category, but so far a release date as well as pricing has been revealed. Lets start with the better of the two — the release date. So far it looks as if the Pearl 3G 9100 will come available on May 13th.

Moving on we have the not as good news, and the part that hopefully will change — the pricing. According to what was leaked it looks like those interested will have to shell out $129.95 for the Pearl 3G with Bell. And that is with a three year agreement. If you are looking to knock down that contract a little, you will also need to spend a little more money. In this case you can also opt to pay $179.95 for a two year agreement as well as $279.99 or $329.95 for a one year and contract free agreement.

The kicker here comes obviously in the price, and the fact that we saw Telus announce it “for as little as $29.99 on a three-year plan.”

Finally, just to recap the specs a bit, the BlackBerry Pearl 3G 9100 will come sporting a 360 x 400 resolution display, 20 key keyboard with SureType, 256MB internal storage, microSD card slot, 3.2 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth 2.1 and running OS 5. Other details include that Bell will be shipping the Pearl 3G 9100 out with a 2GB microSD card included.
