Nokia C5 & X5 Get Official, but Headed to China Only [Nokia Announces New TD-SCDMA Handsets for China Mobile: Nokia C5 & Nokia X5]
Nokia has announced two new handsets today but unless you happen to be within reach of a China Mobile store you won’t really care about them. The Nokia C6 and the Nokia X5 are both TD-SCDMA handsets which only work in China thanks to China Mobile’s TD-SCDMA network.

Before we move to specs, features and arrival dates I will have to tell you that the C5 has already been announced for other markets whereas the X5 may remain a China-only device for the near future.
The Nokia X5 will offer you “an exciting music experience and iconic design” which will make you “stand out for the crowd.” Of course you’d have to be based in China to get it but I’m sure Nokia will sell plenty of new X5 handsets since China Mobile happens to be the largest carrier in the world.
The Nokia X5 will offer you a 5-megapixel camera, dual LED flash and video recording, 2.4-inch QVGA display, access to MM-Ovi Store, mobile video, Fetion IM, Mobile Map/Navigation and it will be available in black, white and red in Q2 2010. The phone will be the “first Nokia TD-SCDMA Symbian based entertainment device” which will offer you access to lots of content while on the go.

The Nokia C5 is already a familiar device, now ready to arrive in TD-SCDMA flavor. The phone will hit China Mobile stores in Q3 2010, and it will offer you a 5-megapixel camera, 2.4-inch QVGA display, a stylish stainless-steel keypad and a compact device. The C5 will come in silver and black and will offer you access to Fetion, 139 mailbox and MM-Ovi Store.
Neither the X5 nor the C5 are the smartphone we want from Nokia so in case that’s what you need to buy you’ll have to wait a while longer until the Finnish company is ready to start selling the first Symbian^3 smartphones in various markets around the world, including China.
