LG Mystique Flip Phone Announced For US Cellular [Messaging Friendly LG Mystique With Full QWERTY Keyboard, QVGA Display & 2MP Camera Available Tomorrow For $79.99 On Contract]
If it were not for the fact that we are still seeing new smartphones announced on an almost daily basis I would think that we were seeing a resurgence in messaging style flip phones as of late. After all, last week we saw the Pantech Link with AT&T as well as a few models from Nokia. Not to mention, who can forget about the KIN ONE and KIN TWO. But recent history aside, the latest messaging friendly phone to see an announcement is the LG Mystique, which is headed to US Cellular.

Of course, looking at the above image you may recognize the handset, except by a different name. The LG Mystique as it will be dubbed with US Cellular is actually the rebranded LG Lotus Elite LX610 which was announced a short while back during Mobile World Congress.
As for specs, you can expect two displays. A 2.4 inch internal with a 240 x 320 resolution and a 2.4 inch external with a 320 x 240 resolution. Moving on though, you have a full QWERTY keyboard tucked inside along with a 2 megapixel camera that has autofocus and video recording, Bluetooth, microUSB for charging and a microSD card slot that can support cards of up to 16GB in size.
Additionally, the LG Mystique comes with a music player with external controls and dual speakers, a video player as well as an image editor that will allow you to create slide shows as well as take self-portraits. The Mystique also has a few dedicated internal hot keys that allow for one touch access to easyedge, music and voice commands.
The LG Mystique will be available with US Cellular as of tomorrow (April 23, 2010) when it will sell for $79.95 on contract. Additionally, it should be pointed out that the $79.95 price tag comes after a $50 mail in rebate. In other words, expect to pay $129.95 to get out of the door.
