Free HTC EVO 4G Available from Sprint But You Have to Win It First [Sprint Competition Offers 10 HTC EVO 4G Android Smartphones to Lucky Winners]
The Sprint HTC EVO 4G isn’t officially coming for another couple of months but that doesn’t mean you can’t plan on getting a free one yourself. The carrier is holding a special competition which will reward Sprint Premier customers with some impressive prizes including 10 HTC EVO 4G Android smartphones which will be offered “before it hits the streets.”

The competition ends on May 9, 2010 so you’ll have plenty of time to enter and get picked as one of the 10 semi-finalists to get the device. Once you do win the phone you’ll also be entitled to a free year of service from Sprint and you’ll have the chance to blog about your whole 4G experience on the HTC EVO 4G and Sprint’s network. In other words, more publicity for Sprint.
Furthermore four finalists will win a trip to Maui, Chicago, Las Vegas or Houston (all valued at $8,500) and once they hit these cities they’ll be able to video blog the whole experience. In other words, even more publicity for Sprint.
You’d think that everything ends there but there’s more. Out of the ten blogs Sprint hopes to see published once some random Sprint customers win those 10 HTC EVO 4G, one will be voted as the most interesting and will consequently win an extra prize of $4,000. I know, how else could Sprint convince you to start blogging about your HTC EVO 4G experience?
Naturally there’s a whole complicated rule book available at Sprint’s competition page. Usually we love such competitions since they happen to reveal pricing details for these new handsets which are always awarded to lucky winners. This time around Sprint did not say how much the HTC EVO 4G will cost even though all other prizes are thoroughly explained in the official rules section:
Because the EVO is not currently for sale to the public, the final retail value has not been determined. Semi-Finalist will be provided with an approximate retail value upon delivery of the device.
So, no prices for the HTC EVO 4G yet, folks, but at least you can enter this sweepstakes and hope to win your HTC EVO 4G. In order to enter the competition make sure you have a Sprint Premier account and get ready to answer some blogging/social media questions. And if you found out about it from us, we’ll be more than happy to test your HTC EVO 4G, get mentioned in your Sprint HTC EVO 4G official blog, hear about it in comments.
