MSI GX640 Gaming Notebook Available Today

The latest gaming notebook to come from MSI is available as of today. The model I am referring to is the GX640 which comes packing a 2.26GHz Intel Core i5-430M processor, ATI Radeon HD5850 Broadway Pro graphics with DirectX 11 support and more. The notebook is priced at $1,099 and is currently available with Amazon.

Other specs of the GX640 notebook include a 15.4 inch glossy LCD display with a 1680 x 1050 resolution, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, a 500GB 7200RPM hard drive, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/g/n, Bluetooth, 2 megapixel camera, SuperMulti optical drive, 9 cell battery and is running Windows 7 Home Premium, the 64 bit edition.

In terms of ports and other goodies, the GX640 comes with two USB 2.0, one eSATA/USB combo, D-Sub, HDMI, microphone in, headphone out, and a 4 in 1 memory card reader all packaged in what is described as a “stylish brushed aluminum case with fire engine red accents.” As for the keyboard, that is a raised chiclet style that was noted as having “clearly marked” W, A, S and D keys. In regards to the size, the weight and measurements come in at 5.8 pounds and 9.8 x 14.7 x 0.7 inches.
