HP Announces All-in-One 200 & Compaq 6005 Pro Desktop PC's

HP Rolls Out Two New Desktop PC's, Also Updates TouchSmart PC Lineup

HP has recently announced two new desktop computers as well as upgrades to their existing TouchSmart lineup. The new models include the HP branded All-in-One 200 and the Compaq branded 6005 Pro series.

Diving right into the new models, we first have the All-in-One 200 (pictured above) which comes featuring a 21.5 inch LED backlit display, a 2.6GHz Intel Pentium E5300 dual core processor, 2GB RAM, a 500GB hard drive, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, SuperMulti DVD optical drive with LightScribe technology, webcam, microphone, “premium” stereo speakers and running Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit edition).

In terms of pricing and availability on the All-in-One 200, expect to pay $699.99 and as of this posting it has an estimated build date of May 5, 2010. Of course, the All-in-One 200 also has options available for customization and as you can most likely guess, the price can increase rapidly depending on what you add on.

Next up is the Compaq 6005 Pro (pictured above), which will feature AMD processors, ATI Radeon 4200 graphics, DDR3 RAM, a mini PCI3 slot, ten USB ports and support for dual monitors. Additionally, the Compaq 6005 Pro, which is being touted as the Ultra Slim desktop comes with measurements of 10 inches high and 2.6 inches wide. And as the press release so kindly points out is “the approximate size of a ream of paper.” As for price and availability, expect to pay $599 beginning on April 26.

Wrapping up the HP news, there was also some updates made to the current TouchSmart lineup. To begin with, the TouchSmart 600 has been given Intel Core i3 or i5 processors as well as Beats Audio, Paint It! by Corel and Roxio CinemaNow. The TouchSmart 600 is priced from $1,099 and up and will be available as of April 28. Next up for the TouchSmart updates comes on the TouchSmart 300, which was given Roxio CinemaNow and Paint It! by Corel. The TouchSmart 300 is priced at $799 and up and is available as of today.
