BlackBerry 9670 Clamshell Smartphone Looks Don’t Turn Heads; BlackBerry OS 6.0 Does

New BlackBerry 9670 Clamshell Gets Leaked & It’s Not Pretty at All

So guess what’s the first thing I looked at today folks? Well, as you have already figured it out, it’s the BlackBerry 9670, an ugly clamshell smartphone that was recently leaked and could arrive at WES 2010.

It’s not the BlackBerry Storm3 slider we thought it’s going to be launched but it’s an ugly clamshell device that at least comes with BlackBerry OS 6.0, RIM’s new mobile platform which we’ve seen yesterday.

Seriously, RIM, is this the best you could come up with? This monstrosity can’t be compared to the iPhone, the Palm Pre, HTC HD2, HTC Droid Incredible, Motorola Droid, BlackBerry Bold, Samsung Galaxy S, Sony Ericsson Xperia X10, HTC Desire, Google Nexus One, BlackBerry Storm and Storm2. Do I need to show you even more smartphones that look a lot better than this thing right here?

Because really, RIM, I know your CEO likes QWERTY keyboards for his smartphones and we definitely would love to finally see a BlackBerry smartphone that can offer us both a touchscreen and full keyboard but there are other ways of doing this the way it should be.

This ugly BlackBerry 9670 is way too big for any pocket and it will definitely be very complicated to use. Since it’s not a slider but a clamshell you won’t really be able to use that touchscreen device properly. I won’t even talk about playing games on this thing. No point going there, is it, but then again BlackBerry handsets are productivity tools, not gaming peripherals!

And what about that trackpad there? Why on earth do we need it now that there’s a touchscreen ready to help us navigate? Anyone?

This ugly BlackBerry 9670 is probably the worst phone RIM could have come up to and I really love their creations. Maybe it’s just me, so let’s hear it from you, folks! In case this ugly thing is real and about to be made official, would you purchase it?

The ugly BlackBerry 9670 clamshell comes at least with some interesting features like BlackBerry OS 6.0, 5-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, microUSB port, microSD slot, 360 x 480 inside display and a huge display on the outside.

I still hope it’s not real.

Yeah, it’s ugly, but its specs are beautiful! I don’t trust touch screen phones. I’d rather have the trackpad and keyboard.
