By now you must be tired with all these HTC Incredible, or better said HTC Droid Incredible, news that keep popping around the web. So far we know that Verizon has officially announced this “advanced device” and we’re expecting it to hit Verizon stores on April 29.
If you’re ready to commit to a new Verizon two-year contract the Android smartphone can be yours for just $199 after mail-in rebate and you can pre-order it with Big Red starting on Monday, April 19.
But those of you interested in reserving it even earlier can now do so thanks to Best Buy which is ready to let you pre-order it a day ahead, on Sunday, April 18:
“We’re excited to bring the Verizon Wireless Droid Incredible by HTC to our stores with the pre-sale beginning April 18,” said Scott Anderson, merchant senior director for Best Buy Mobile. “The Droid Incredible by HTC adds to our growing assortment of smartphones, and with our highly-trained sales staff we can ensure customers are paired with the mobile device that is right for them.”
Best Buy will sell you the same Verizon HTC Droid Incredible Android handset so you’ll end up paying the same $199 for it and you will have to choose a new two-year contract also. But Best Buy is ready to spare you the whole mail-in rebate hassle as instant savings will be applied and you’ll only have to pay $199 for the device.
How does it all work? You’ll simply have to fill out a form, pay Best Buy $50 on Sunday and get a $50 gift card which you will require for picking up the phone once it becomes available in stores. It’s that easy so you’d be a lot better off getting your Droid Incredible by HTC from Best Buy this week.

I will b the first person at best buy to order one of these phones as u cannot wait! I am currently a droid owner converted from iPhone and can’t wait to see this item. My droid is twice as good as my iPhone 3g and this will b twice as good as my droid!!!! Finally. Go big red.
Hmm…preorder Sunday the 18th and pick up when it becomes available in stores or preorder from Verizon on Monday and have it in a day or two. “It’s that easy so you’d be a lot better off getting your Droid Incredible by HTC from Best Buy this week.” I don’t think so.
I’m going to wait the extra day and get mine online with Verizon. That way I can get my 50 dollar NE2 discount and pick this phone up for only $150. I don’t mind the mail in rebate. It’s worth it to save fifty bucks. Can’t wait to get my hands on this phone!
Tired of waiting for Nexus One to come to Verizon. I’m going with Incredible.
Jeff Verizon wont be filling the orders for the HTC Incredible until the 29th which means it could b May 1st when they finaly get around to send the device your way. While with best buy if you pre-order it then on the 29th or 25th(the possible BB release date) you can simply walk into the store and pick up this beast of a phone. AND get $50 worth of accessories to go with it.
Frank: Wrong. If you call Verizon about the pre-order they will tell you that it will ship to you on the 22nd.
I pre-ordered at BestBuy. $50 down. The phones arrive on the 24th, and are available for pickup on the 29th. No extra waiting.
Believe new Verizon customers do NOT get NE2 discount, and will be charged $35 activation fee if the do NOT buy online – i.e. at Best Buy.
So net cost for new customers is ~same, with chances of slow Best Buy inventory delays.
