Sprint iPad 4G Case Comes with Overdrive Pocket
It’s really strange how AT&T isn’t saying all that much about the upcoming iPad 3G. It’s even stranger that Sprint is trying to make money off the iPad even if the device doesn’t come with support for its CDMA network.

While Sprint is not going to sell iPads itself, it looks like it’s aware of the fact that the iPad might be a very popular device with its subscribers. That’s why the carrier is also trying to make some money off Apple’s tablet, but then again so are so many other third-party retailers and developers that keep throwing at us lots of iPad-related accessories and applications. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, is it? After all, whether our wallets like it or not we’re definitely going to need accessories, lots of apps and content to actually be able to use the device.
Sprint is also ready to offer us an iPad case that comes with an extra pocket which seems to perfectly suit Sprint’s Overdrive. But here’s how Sprint is pitching the 4G Case for iPad, and that’s the official name of the case:
The 4G Case has a pocket to house an Overdrive™ 3G/4G Mobile Hotspot, so you can simultaneously connect your iPad™ and four more Wi-Fi enabled devices at 4G speeds anywhere within 4G coverage areas. Meaning now you can use your iPad™ for everything it was built for, and then some.
The Overdrive will let you connect up to five Wi-Fi devices at the same time with one of them being the iPad, of course. You must also remember that Sprint also publicly advertised the iPhone 4G earlier this year. Basically the carrier was offering the same Overdrive Wi-Fi solution to iPhone owners that want access to Sprint’s young 4G network.
The 4G Case for iPad is going to be available free of charge as long as you purchase it with an Overdrive 3G/4G mobile hotspot from various Best Buy locations. Are you going to get a 4G Case for your iPad?
