RIM BlackBerry Tablet Coming Soon?
Okay everyone, take a seat and let this thought settle in: 8.9-inch BlackBerry tablets. It feels strange isn’t it? Is Apple already reshaping the whole mobile business? The iPad has been made official in January and it started selling in stores last Saturday but it looks like everyone wants to make one. We’ve seen various iPad contenders so far and it looks like we’re in for a big surprise.

RIM is apparently ready to step up to the plate and launch its own tablet. Will it be a BlackBerry tablet? Will it have a full QWERTY keyboard? Will RIM come up with a totally new tablet OS? Will it be based on the current BlackBerry mobile platform?
I already have so many questions regarding such a device and I think it will be a while until I find my answers.
Of course, this whole thing could be fake, as some rumors always turn out to be, and we might be worrying over nothing here.
So what is actually happening here? Word in the street is that RIM has ordered an 8.9-inch tablet from Hon Hai. The supplier should have the new device ready by the end of the third quarter of 2010 or very early in Q4 2010.
Naturally we don’t have any kind of specs and features available at this point and as far as we know, RIM is not making any tablets, or at least that’s what they have been declaring a bunch of times. The rumor, or should I say, report, comes from a research company and is said to appear legit. What do you say, folks?

WES 2010 is going to take place in Orlando from April 27-29 and that’s where we could find out more details about such BlackBerry tablet plans. But really, RIM, do you absolutely need to have your own tablet out there? Think you have what it takes to beat Apple at a game they have just reinvented?
