Well what do we have here, MacBook Pro lovers? A rumor saying that next Tuesday, April 13, the refresh you were waiting for since February is going to be made official. That’s right, the all new MacBook Pro and possible the new MacBook Air laptops packing Intel’s 2010 chips are going to be unveiled by Apple.

Of course if the April 13 date proves to be wrong then we can always get the new laptops on any of the following Tuesdays, April 20 and April 27, if Apple is indeed launching them this month.

Where does this rumor come from? This time around it’s not China but Australia. Apparently sources “familiar with Apple product cycles and inventory levels” are confident that Tuesday, April 13 is the day when Intel Core i5/i7 are finally coming to Apple’s famous MacBook Pro and MacBook Air lines.

Just a few days ago we were talking new MacBook Pro, MacBook Air and MacBook rumors again and it was then that we found out other important changes are coming besides the much anticipated processor update. HDDs are going to be bumped to 640GB while SSDs are apparently going to be available in 256GB flavors too. More importantly, battery life will go up from 7 to 8 hours, but of course we still need confirmation for all of that.

Naturally no pricing details have been leaked at this point and it will be really interesting how much the new machines are going to cost. In fact, once the new Intel Core i5/i7 processors arrive we’ll probably see Apple drop prices for its current MacBook Pro and Air models.

That’s right folks, you don’t absolutely need the new Intel CPU’s to have a great MacBook Pro. Current models are more than dependable machines for the more than average Mac users. So if money is going to be a problem for you then getting an older, but cheaper version of your favorite MacBook might be the right choice right now. However, don’t spend a dime on MacBook Pros until April 13. Or April 20/27…
