Dell Updates Latitude E-Series Lineup
Clearly aiming for the business market, Dell has recently updated their Latitude E-Series notebook lineup with the addition of the E6410 and E6510. As for these latest models, they both come touting Intel Core i5 or i7 processors.

As for the rest of the features, the E6410 is a 14.1 inch (1280 x 800) notebook with the E6510 as the slightly larger 15.6 inch (1366 x 768) model. In terms of pricing, the E6410 starts at $1,014 with the E6510 starting at $1,064. Of course, both can and will increase depending on configuration.
Features that are shared across both models include Windows Vista Home Basic, a 2.4GHz Intel Core i5-520M processor, 1GB of RAM, 160GB hard drives, an 8x DVD optical drive, noise canceling microphone, 3 megapixel webcam, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/g/n, a 6-cell battery and optional discrete graphics from NVIDIA.
Getting to the individual upgrades, the E6410 can be upgraded to 2.66GHz Intel Core i7-620M processor for $120 and the E6510 can go as high as a 1.6GHz Intel Core i7-720QM processor for $180. Both models can also upgrade to Windows 7 as well add up to 8GB of RAM, up to 500GB of storage or 256GB of SSD storage, a higher resolution display and more. All these models also have the option to add built-in mobile broadband with carrier support from either Verizon, Sprint or AT&T.
Additionally, Dell has also added the Latitude E6410 ATG notebook, which is a semi-ruggedized version of the E6410. This model features the same 14.1 inch WXGA (1280 x 800) display, however it was certified to meet MIL STD 810F specs for shock, vibration, temperature, humidity and altitude. The E6410 ATG is priced from $2,114. Other specs of the E6410 ATG include a 2.4GHz Intel Core i5-520M processor, 1GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive, 8x DVD optical drive, Intel graphics, 6 cell battery and the 32-bit version of Windows Vista Home Premium.
