New iPhone 4G Release Date Set for June 27, 2010?
We already know that Cupertino is going to unveil the new features of iPhone OS 4.0 tomorrow at a special media event and it now looks like we have a date for the official announcement of the iPhone 4G/HD.

The next-gen iPhone was rumored to arrive at some point in June/July 2010 and now, according to an apparently leaked calendar for the San Francisco Convention and Visitors Bureau, we know that WWDC 2010 will take place between June 27 – July 2. Therefore we expect the official announcement of the upcoming iPhone to take place on the very first day of the WWDC which is June 27.
In fact it looks like we have unconfirmed dates for Apple’s WWDC events from now through 2015 although it’s too early to talk about even later iPhone generations that will be unveiled on such occasions:
- 2010: June 27th – July 2nd
- 2011: June 5th – June 10th
- 2012: June 10th – June 15th
- 2013: June 9th – June 14th
- 2014: June 1st – June 6th
- 2015: June 7th – June 12th
Apple might go ahead and officially announce the schedule for the next WWDC tomorrow after introducing iPhone OS 4.0 and all its marvels to the world. The company announced WWDC 2009 at the end of March last year so it’s probably safe to say we’ll learn more about the next developers’ conference in the very near future.
What’s really strange about the dates reveled above is the fact that they have been uncovered by a Japanese site so we can’t really say we trust these dates, do we? On the other hand even if the calendar has last been updated back in May 2009 it looks like various other conventions listed there are accurate.
Let’s hear it from the iPhone developers out there attending the event! Do you have any idea about the upcoming WWDC? Have you made travel arrangements yet?
